All three of these magazines are within the pop genre and are all different magazines in competition with each other. Although they are against each other, the conventions of the magazines are all very similar and are used to the same reasons. All three of the magazines have mastheads, these are essential on any magazine, as they are the title and what makes the audience recognize the magazine, so that they buy it. The typography of all of these magazines are quite simple get bold and can be recognizable to the audience. This also makes them more legible and easy to pick out in a group of complicated magazines. They are all placed at the top of the magazine, but some, such as the 'We Love Pop' magazine, are placed on a slant or slightly to the left/right, which makes it slightly different, so it is easy to pick out. They also use the love heart, adding imagery and makes the title/name more fun. Secondly, they all have a main feature on the front cover, which would be a photograph of the chosen artist and the attaching main feature story, which is most likely going to be an interview with the chosen artist. The artist will normally going to be a popular artist, who is either new within the music industry or an existing artist who has just recently brought out a new single/album etc. The colour scheme of all the magazines are very bright and colourful. There is a large use of pink and then another custom colour, depending on the choice of artist. The target audience for pop magazines are usually young/teenage girls, again depending on the artist choice. They all also have feature stories, which are normally linked to a teenagers everyday life for example, body image, bullying and other celebrity interests.
